About me
Contact with people is important to me in my job.
Since 2020, I have also been teaching online and have therefore supervised language training courses for Amazon, Google, Audi and BMW, for example.
In 2021, I founded Rolfs Deutschtraining and have been offering language solutions for German as a foreign language ever since.
Over the years, I have developed my own teaching style focussing on communication and language production and have continuously improved the quality of my language coaching and training. As a result, I now also coach German learners in middle and senior management positions.
Since 2024 I have been working as a lecturer for the Technical Academy for Vocational Training in Schwäbisch Gmünd and supervise language training courses at local companies in Stuttgart.
My professional development
I am delighted that you would like to find out more about me. I already realised during my business studies at Pforzheim University that I wanted to pursue a career in which communication and contact with people would take centre stage.
After completing my studies in Germany, I decided to study abroad in Lisbon. And when this ended in the summer of 1995, I decided to stay in Portugal.
After my first job, I started teaching German as a career changer and my career as a language trainer began in 1996 with a course at the German technology company Siemens. I supervised language training courses there for 7 years.
After returning to Germany in 2003 and taking a 7-year break from teaching, I started teaching German in the Stuttgart area in 2011.
Until 2020, I supervised face-to-face training courses for companies such as Bosch, Daimler and Porsche on behalf of language institutes.
Mr Schwedes is an extremely competent and committed lecturer who teaches German in a practical and understandable way. He responds flexibly to the needs of the participants and creates a motivating learning atmosphere. His clear and structured teaching style is particularly impressive in a professional context. My training programmes
In my language training courses, I always focus on language production. I offer my participants various forms of exercise that enable them to produce language in oral and written form. I use lectures, presentations, interviews, conversation topics and role plays. In terms of role-playing, I benefit from my training as a clown, which I completed in 2019. This creative approach makes the lessons even more interesting and humorous for the participants.
I also use the content of my training as a communication trainer, which I completed in 2024, to create communicative exercises. This has given me an even deeper understanding of communication, argumentation, rhetoric and presentation. As a language trainer, it is important for me to enable the participants in my German courses to communicate in German as quickly as possible. That’s why I use various speaking activities such as small talk, role plays, etc. in my language courses right from the start.

Regular walks with my dog are an integral part of my free time
Private
I love being outdoors in nature and it’s important to me to get plenty of exercise. That’s why I like to go for walks with my dog Momo in my free time.
